Don’t Fall Prey to One of These at Home Accidents This Spring

Now that spring has finally arrived, it goes without saying that you’ll be tackling a variety of projects around home.

While there’s nothing wrong with this, there’s something to remember: your safety should always come first.

Here are a handful of serious accidents you need to avoid around home this spring:

·      Fall from height. Do you need to climb to the top of a ladder to do some work, such as unclogging your gutters? If you’re going to use a ladder be sure to take all the necessary safety precautions.

·      Lifting more than you can comfortably handle. Lifting a heavy object can cause a variety of injuries, such as a back or neck strain. If an object requires a team lift you should find someone who can assist you.

·      Trip and fall. It doesn’t matter if you’re working indoors or out, make sure you keep the area clear of debris. For example, when working in the yard, don’t leave your tools lying around. As you lose track of them, there’s a greater chance you’ll trip and fall.
